Who Are We

The TRiBE Board

Seyi Newell

After a career in fashion and charity PR, London born Seyi decided to create TRiBE out of necessity; she was tired of consistently being the only black woman in the number of places that she worked. With TRiBE, she aims to make black women more visible not only in the work environment but everywhere.

Yvonne Guobadia

Yvonne is an entrepreneurial black woman from South London, with a passion for food and culture, and black womanhood. She is an IT Professional with a background in strategy, finance and business development. She believes that there is an undeniable need for organisations like TRiBE, who are dedicated to building-up and nurturing black girls and women in the UK (and the world).

Bunmi has worked for social services for over 20 years. She has been one of TRiBE‘s biggest supporters since the very beginning. She spends much of her time attending the events and speaking one to one with the women we work with.

Bunmi also happens to be Seyi’s mum.
